Lady Shando Balut Vernius was the wife of Earl Dominic Vernius, and former concubine of Elrood IX of House Corrino. After House Vernius went renegade, she was tracked to Bela Tegeuse by Sardaukar, and killed, despite wearing an Ixian necklace designed to disguise her face.
